Make an EnquiryDriving Technical and Commercial Transformation within Global Fashion business
Chameleon International started working with a fashion company in 2016. At that time, the company was assessing and re-designing several core aspects of their business following the acquisition of two major fashion brands. Two keys aspects of the program were:
- A project to shift the business from a wholesale driven model through to a consumer centric operation – which required a re-evaluation of the entire supply chain.
- The creation of a Denim Centre of Excellence – to capitalise on synergies between the two main brands.
Details of Project
Chameleon have been working with the company on all aspects of this transformation and have become a retained provider of external staff across the Sourcing, Production, Supply Chain, Project, Quality and Purchasing departments. Chameleon have delivered the following mandates during this time:
- Senior Director Raw Materials Procurement
- Senior Project Director
- Senior Technical Director
- Senior Director Sourcing & Production
- Quality Assurance Manager
The main factor for the success of Chameleon has undoubtedly been the sense of partnership that has been fostered between the organisations. Chameleon have visited the offices on many occasions and have strong relationships within the Sourcing & Production, Supply Chain, Merchandising and Human Resources Leadership teams. This has resulted in a great understanding of the company culture and therefore what type of candidates would be suitable for the challenging environment that exists within the organisation.
The Future
With the company having made the decision to locate Senior Leaders within Europe while their competition typically base these members of staff in the US, Chameleon have been instrumental in profiling the global apparel and fashion market to source the correct personnel to drive the operational objectives within the organisation.
These new external hires bring with them a wealth of expertise from the US market and can apply this to the globalisation project across the brands at the company. As the respective divisions grow, Chameleon are well placed to utilise their existing research and to leverage their network. This will ensure that a successful talent pipeline is available to staff the future vacancies that arise within the business in a short time frame.
