Succession Planning at SLT Level
Our client is an industry-leading engineering business headquartered in Birmingham, UK. The group is made of circa 10,000+ employees globally and generates £1.75billion in revenue with manufacturing facilities throughout Europe, with a footprint across both Western and Eastern Europe.
Following an internal talent review, it was recognised that the division had a number of issues with regards to succession planning at SLT level across the majority of their manufacturing sites. As the locations are typically built in cost-effective areas, our client have historically struggled to attract the types of candidates that can build, sustain and develop a best-in-class performance culture and thus help the sites evolve.
Chameleon have worked on the following positions:
- Plant Manager, Sweden (300 FTE)
- Plant Manager, Germany (300 FTE)
- Plant Manager, Switzerland (120 FTE)
- Plant Manager, Slovenia (60 FTE)
- Interim Plant Manager, Sweden (300 FTE)
- Global Head of Operational Excellence
- HR Director, Germany & Corporate Functions
- Head of Site Logistics, Switzerland
- Site HR Director, Switzerland
- Site Lean Director, Switzerland
- Production Director, Sweden
Chameleon have found success by profiling individuals from more sophisticated, complex, global organisations who are interested in making a hands-on impact in a smaller, more agile organisation. To stimulate and refresh thought leadership, we have worked to find individuals who have pushed themselves internationally beyond their comfort zone and can add a different dynamic to the status quo of a complex manufacturing facility by moving locations to undertake new assignments.
A lot of our success here involves building the narrative of an international SME and presenting this to an international candidate base that, otherwise, would be previously unaware of our client. We continue to support them as their Brand Ambassador and outsourced talent partner and look forward to helping the business grow within the PLC group.
